Senator Sullivan on President Obama’s Rejection of Keystone: “Poster-child for what’s wrong with America”
ANCHORAGE, AK – U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan released the following statement after President Obama rejected the cross-border permit for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline project:
“President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline is the poster-child for what’s wrong with America. We simply don’t build things anymore. Instead of building symbols of technological wonder, national pride, and American ingenuity, we hear story after story of delay, discord, and disappointment, all of which symbolizes a country that can't get things done. Keystone would have provided thousands of good-paying jobs at a time when people need them. In rejecting Keystone, President Obama is rejecting jobs, American workers and a growing economy. Today, President Obama chose to cater to radical environmental groups funded by elites, over hard-working middle-class Americans.”
