Senator Sullivan Meets with Japanese Prime Minister Abe
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) issued the following statement today after meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.
“I was honored to once again meet with Prime Minister Abe. We had a constructive conversation today about deepening the military, economic and trade, as well as energy relationship between our two countries. I highlighted Alaska’s longstanding role as a reliable supplier of LNG to Japan for over 40 years.
“Prime Minister Abe is a once-in-a-generation leader who is leading his country into a safer and more prosperous Asia-Pacific. I look forward to working with him and his administration on strengthening U.S. military, economic and energy ties that benefit both of our nations, and Alaska.”
